JBR10 - Easy Hakka Noddle Full Of Wok Tossed Taste

29 Jul 2025

Jain Hakka Noodles Recipe (No Onion, No Garlic, No Carrot)

Lightly spiced, stir-fried noodles packed with veggies — without compromising your beliefs. These Jain-style Hakka noodles are quick, colorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners or potluck parties.

 Ingredients

 Base:

  • 150–200g Hakka noodles (eggless, Jain-friendly)
  • 1 tbsp oil (preferably sesame or vegetable oil)
  • Salt for boiling noodles

 Veggies (customizable):

  • ½ cup shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup capsicum (any color), thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup French beans, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup boiled sweet corn or baby corn (sliced)

 Sauces & Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp soy sauce (check for no onion/garlic version)
  • 1 tsp green chili sauce (Jain-friendly)
  • 1 tsp vinegar (white or rice vinegar)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: pinch of sugar for balance

 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Boil the Noodles:
Boil water with salt. Add the noodles and cook until 90% done (al dente).
Rinse under cold water immediately to stop cooking.
Drizzle a little oil and toss to avoid sticking. Set aside.
🧠 Pro tip: Don’t overcook the noodles or they’ll turn mushy when stir-fried.
  2. Prep the Veggies:
Thinly slice and shred all veggies for that classic "Hakka" texture.
Skip carrots, onion, and garlic completely — use crunchy greens like cabbage and beans instead.
  3. Stir-Fry the Veggies:
Heat oil in a large wok or kadai on high flame.
Add beans, corn, cabbage, and capsicum. Stir-fry on high for 2–3 minutes.
Add soy sauce, green chili sauce, vinegar, pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add the Noodles:
Add the boiled noodles to the stir-fried vegetables.
Toss everything gently to coat the noodles evenly.
🧠 Jain hack: Add a few drops of lemon juice or amchur for a little zing without using garlic chili paste.
  5. Serve Hot:
Serve immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds if you like. Pair with Jain Manchurian or enjoy solo!

 Variations & Add-Ons

  • Spicy Jain Noodles: Add a little Jain red chili paste made from soaked chilies and cumin.
  • Nutty Twist: Toss in some crushed peanuts or cashews for crunch.
  • Gluten-Free: Use rice noodles or millet noodles for a Jain + GF version.

Final Thoughts

These Jain Hakka Noodles are proof that bold flavors don’t need onion or garlic. Simple ingredients, quick cooking, and total comfort in every bite.
