Ghantakarna Veer, also known as Ghantakarna Mahavir, is a powerful protective deity in Jainism, especially venerated within the Śvetāmbara tradition and the Tapa Gaccha monastic lineage. Who is Ghantakarna Veer?

Ghantakarna Veer was once a mighty Himalayan king named Tungabhadra. He was known for his bravery and compassion, often defending the weak and protecting the innocent. During one such battle against thieves, he sacrificed his life to save others. Because of this selfless act, he was reborn as a divine protector and came to be worshipped as Ghantakarna Veer.
